I’m late on bringing up this instalment of monthly favourites, but nonetheless here! June was another great month of music. I had a lot of jams that I wasn’t able to fit in the 80 minute span.
My new label Scuffed Records makes a back-to-back appearance with Jeff Math‘s remix of ‘The Funk Stick’, as well as a snip of ‘Vega’ off Scuffed002 from Flubba (out July 16th). Pat Lok did a nice dub mix for The Look which features a nice summer house vibe. I included a trippy joint from Para One titled ‘The Talking Drums’, which makes more sense once you listen to the tune. Nacey produced a few nice tracks for his new DC-based group Misun. It’s on a more ‘indie’ vibe than his traditional club jams but certainly not to be slept on. Jeremy Glenn‘s recent remix for Clubfeet is really great and I definitely listen to the whole extended mix on the regular. Rap/R&B joints from Danny Brown, The Dream, and Large Professor (!! check out the rest of his brand new album – hip hop is NOT dead).
