In the film Seymour, electro-cutes “Audry’s” ass after it reveals itself to be an alien and has a roid rage in the litte shop. Of Horrors. The ACTUAL ending was suppose to be like so and in my humble opinion it’s 10x better than the film.
“An ending more faithful to the stage version was filmed, in which the plant eats Audrey and Seymour and then, grown to massive size and having reproduced, goes on a King Kong style Rampage through New York City. It was received poorly by test audiences, and the happier alternate ending was used for the theatrical cut. A new song for the plant, “Mean Green Mother From Outer Space”, was nominated for an Academy Award for Best New Song.”
