If you born pre 1980′ish then you %100 know the movie The Never Ending Story. At the time of its release, it was the most expensive film ever produced outside of the United States or the USSR. What makes this films death scene come in at number 8 is the gutwrenching scene where Atreyu’s horse Artax drowns in the swamp of sadness. Atreyu loses his only friend and companion in the land of Fantasia. This one struck a nerve at the tender age of 5 and so it makes the top 10 as I remember it vividly.

The infamous brutal and painful-to-watch curb-stomping scene in which former neo-Nazi skinhead Derek Vinyard (Edward Norton) forced wounded black car thief Lawrence (Antonio David Lyons) to bite down on the sidewalk curb and then stomped on the man’s head to snap his neck in half, to teach him a “real lesson”; after killing him, he spit on his body. Extremely extremely harsh scene dealing with extremely harsh subject matter and for this it stays with you and is easily in the top film deaths.
I remember watching this one on my dads lap when I was quite young. When that rabid beast of a dog slams his head against the car door and trys to jump through the window of the broken down Pinto…saliva spit and blood flying all over the place…fuckin terrifying. I peed my bed that night…. Anyway if you remember mom at the end goes to town with a Louisville slugger…the bat breaks and she stabs Cujo. Just when you think it was cool Cujo leaps through the glass for a final attack but she grabs the 5 shooter and blasts his ass… this was a death I was glad to witness.
