Yummmmmmmmmmmm! Raw Canvas is a newish spot located in Vancouvers Yaletown district. I participated in the Groupon and finally went down to check the place out. It’s a very simple concept. Eat. Drink. Make art. My girlfriend and I did all 3. Except we Drank. Ate. Drank. Made Art. Drank. Your totally allowed to change the order and repeat as many times as you want √ It’s a tapas style menu. We had the following, and were very satisfied.

classic french style salami made by granville island’s oyama.

hot sopressata
italian style dry hot pepper salami.

vintage 3 yr gouda [holland : cow]
hard and amber-coloured. burnt sugar aroma. sharp and sweet, like good butterscotch

accompaniments : Maple Mustard. Sides: Fire Roasted Tomatoes. Olives: Kalamata

and for the wine well… we had a bunch but we started with this local flight:
blue mountain pinot blanc
lotuland ortega
blue mountain chardonnay

So after your all lubed up you cruise over to the paint pit, smock up and let the artist within create. Just pay for the canvas and everything else is supplied. Unfortunately there was no artist in either of us but it was still fun. Highly recommended so make sure you check it out. They also have live music, comedy shows and open mic nights.
