I say enjoy the games. Watch from the comfort of your own home or closest watering hole. Don’t buy any merchandise or pay ridiculous prices to see an event live. You can still participate in the Olympics but you don’t have to necessarily feed the beast.
Sometimes in order to fit into certain environments you need to change your colors to adapt and fit in like a chameleon or really any species that has chromatophores. Hey, that would be a great name for an artist or album. Sure, stepping outside yourself can be intimidating but it seems more often than not you surprise yourself at your own abilities.
