2011 was a pretty great year for music. To sum up the words of Cosmo Baker, it’s disappointing to hear people say that nobody makes good music anymore. Sure, bad music exists, or maybe it’s music that just doesn’t appeal to you. But all it takes is a little effort to sift through the debris and find something you can really get into. Don’t cheat yourself the opportunity to experience the great producers currently out there.
That being said, here are my personal favourites from 2011. I probably could have picked a schit-load more, but I decided to keep it short and sweet. Check the rest of my chart mixes from the past year to hear “the best of the rest”.
