When I was in Barcelona, between ogling topless girls on the beach and snacking on hash brownies, I took a strong liking to Sangria. I especially liked the cheap .99 cent Tetra Pak 1.5L containers that you get from the corner stores. They made for an excellent beverage choice at any time of day.
Sangria is sort of like a cold summer stew that gets you wasted. There are many proper Sangria recipes out there but I prefer to do it on the fly. It’s a great way to clean out your liquor cabinet of any unwanted leftover booze. After consulting with mixologists the world over, I have come up with a one of a kind recipe I just had to share.
Schitz Sangria Recipe
To prepare you will need a spoon, a big jug or basin, or perhaps a kiddie pool of some sort.
Ingredients
1. Red Wine – cheaper the better, if it comes out of a box, everyone’s a winner!
2. Some type of juice. Anything really will do. Pour in some Tang powder, whatever.
3. Fruits. Whatever hasn’t gone completely rotten in your fridge will do.
4. More booze. This is where it gets interesting. Dump it all in. Grandpa’s brandy that nobody wanted is a great choice.
5. A couple splashes of 7-UP, Sprite, or whatever fizzy stuff you have. Dump in some Red Bull, why not?
6. Aspirin. Save these for the guaranteed hangover.
Enjoy Schitz Heads!
